How do canteen chairs differ from normal chairs?

A chair for canteen should be hard-wearing, stackable, comfortable and colourful. They differ from normal chairs because the materials are of a commercial grade and are designed to be used in a high impact environment.

The materials are stronger and the lacquers thicker so stackable canteen chairs will easily outlast normal domestic chairs.

How many plastic canteen chairs do I need for a 240 cm table?

10 plastic canteen chairs without armrests can be placed around a 240 cm table, four chairs down each side and one at each end. On a 300 cm long canteen table you can add two more chairs. A general guide is to allow a space of 60 cm per person.

Are the canteen chairs light-weight?

Yes, most plastic canteen chairs are light-weight and only weight around 5kg depending if you require armrests. This means four chairs can be easily carried at a time. To move a larger quantity of chairs we would recommend a stacking trolley which can usually stack anywhere between 8 and 12 chairs.
