What does commercial furniture mean?
Commercial furniture is specially designed and made to withstand the day to day wear and tear in offices, cafes and schools. The frames are stronger, fabrics and materials are harder wearing and commercial design features are integrated.

Do your cafe chairs have weight limits?
Most cafe chairs shown have been weight-tested for structural strength. If you need a specific weight limit a range of chairs can be suggested.

What is the standard office desk size?
The standard office desk sizes are 120 x 80, 140 x 80 and 180 x 80 cm and larger executive desk sizes come in 200 x 100 cm, 220 x 100 cm and 240 x 100 cm.
What furniture should be in a cafe?
The most important piece of furniture in a cafe is the seating. A good seating design will provide both comfort and style. It will also help people feel relaxed and comfortable while they are sitting there waiting for their food or drink. Spaceist features a large range of modern cafe furniture available in many designs and colours.
What is the standard size of a coffee table?
The standard size of a cafe table depends on its shape. On average round cafe tables are between 30″ to 48″ wide, oval cafe tables can be between 22″ to 25″ wide and up to 60″ long. Can you send me colour swatches for all your upholstered furniture?
Yes, we can send out A4 cards which show the colours for each range of fabrics. Contact us with the product name and we can organise delivery within 1-2 days.
Are the fabrics fire retardant or Crib5 rated?
Most fabrics are fire retardant or Crib5 rated. If you have a specific requirement please contact Spaceist.
Can you provide 2D and 3D CAD models?
Yes, we have CAD files available for most of our furniture.
What is the warranty on your office furniture?
All our commercial furniture comes with a 5-year warranty.
What if I cannot see what I am looking for?
Spaceist has a large range of furniture that is not shown on this site. For any specific requirements please contact us.
FURNITURE PRICING
How do I request a furniture price list?
You can request a furniture price list for cafe furniture, office furniture and school furniture.
Does the furniture price list include quantity discounts?
Yes, all the products in the price lists include a discount and some products show prices for specific quantities. Please contact us for a project quote to get the best possible pricing.
Do you sell to trade customers including interior designers and architects?
We are primarily a wholesale furniture supplier even though we sell single meeting tables etc. We have long standing relationships with manufacturers so we can supply the best trade prices.
Is VAT included in your prices?
No, we do not include VAT in our prices simply because most of our customers are VAT registered.
How do I get a project quote?
Browse our price lists and email us a list of the furniture and quantities. We will then send you an official quote with pricing reflecting the project quantities.
ORDERING
What is the ordering process?
1. Email us a list of the furniture you would like to order. Please include quantities and colours.
2. We will email a proforma invoice listing all the costs.
3. Once we receive the 40% deposit the furniture will go into production.
How can I get an update on my furniture order?
Email [email protected] with your company name and invoice number and we can update you on your order.
How will we use you use my company details?
Your details are only used to process the furniture order and are not used for marketing purposes.
PAYMENTS
What types of payments do you accept?
The deposit and balance payments can be made using BACS or a credit card.
DELIVERY
Where can you deliver to?
We have delivered to most areas in the UK including Wales and Scotland. We have also delivered furniture to Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Do you charge for delivery and assembly?
Delivery and assembly charges are based on your location and the quantity of furniture ordered. Please contact us for a delivery and assembly quote today.
Will I receive a specific delivery day and time?
Once your furniture arrives at our warehouse we will contact you to organise and delivery day and time to suit. Out-of-hours deliveries can be made with prior arrangements.
Can I collect my furniture?
There is a self-collection option. Please contact us to find out more information.
What is the order time for your furniture?
Cafe furniture and office desks order times vary from 4-6 weeks. Some upholstery chairs and sofas are slightly longer at 8 weeks. For up to date order times please contact us.
Will you deliver the furniture to a room of our choice?
Yes, we can deliver your office furniture to the room of your choice where it can then be assembled. Once you have chosen your furniture let us know the location of the room including any information about lift or stair access. We can then include this in the total delivery cost.
Does the furniture need to be assembled?
Most cafe tables, meeting tables and reception desks need to be assembled onsite. We can provide an assembly service or instructions if you are confident about this yourself.
What happens if the furniture arrives damaged?
Inform the delivery team and please note any damage on the delivery note and contact us at [email protected] with images of the damage. Please unwrap all furniture within a 24-hour period of delivery.
