Waiting Room Furniture FAQs

How do you choose the right waiting room furniture?

Like all office furniture you need to plan the layout so the furniture looks atheistic compared to the size of the room.

  1. The best way to do this is to roughly sketch out the waiting room on a piece of paper and add details like doorways, heaters and power sockets.
  2. Select a few waiting room furniture options you like and add them to the plan. Try a combination of chairs and sofas if you have plenty of space or just use chairs if the space is on the small size.
  3. Use a coffee or side table to space the furniture out and add a plant or two to make the room look more pleasing to the eye.
  4. If you are short for space consider using long wall seating like the Forma which can be made in a long line, corner or U-shaped configuration. With each seat at only 61 cm wide you can seat 4 people within a 250 cm space. You can also break up the seating with a table or shelving in white or black.

Can the waiting room furniture be easily cleaned?

Our waiting room furniture is easy to clean and is incredibly resilient to bumps and scratches. This makes our vinyl reception seating perfect for use in the medical profession. Many of our tables and vinyl chairs just need a quick wipe down with a mild disinfectant whenever they need to be cleaned.

Is there a spot cleaning guide?

Yes, our vinyl cleaning guide will give you some tips on spot removal.

Spot Removal Tips:

Step 1
Remove ordinary spots with soap and water.

What workplaces are waiting room furniture suitable for?

There are certain areas only a sofa will work but the following areas are more suitable for waiting room chairs. There can be for several reasons including needing the flexibility to add more waiting chairs at any time or a certain space between seated visitors is required.

These are just some of the suitable workplaces waiting room chairs are suitable for:

  • Doctors surgeries
  • Dentists
  • Clinics
  • Spa waiting rooms

The main disadvantage of waiting room chairs compared to sofas is the chair will need straightening and rearranging more often than a sofa. Top tip: don't add cushions to the waiting room chairs because these will need rearranging every time the seating is used.
