Cookies & Privacy

Cookies

When visiting most webpages, a small text file called a cookie is stored on to your computer. Here at spaceist.co.uk, we use cookies to help monitor the selection of items in your basket and recall these items on return visits to the site.

Cookies are harmless to your computer. The cookies we create do not store personally identifiable information, instead, they gather encrypted information that helps to improve your experience on the site. They help, for example, to identify and resolve errors, or to show you relevant products of interest whilst browsing.

We work with a range of carefully-selected and monitored suppliers who may also store cookies during a site visit that are used for re-marketing purposes. These cookies are used to highlight other products and services related to your searched items. There is an option to opt-out of this service by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative website at www.networkadvertising.org.

How does Spaceist use cookies?
Our website uses two types of cookies; persistent and session cookies.

When browsing, session cookies allow customers to carry information across various pages of the same website without needed to re-enter information. Session cookies only last for the duration of the period a single website is open, or the browser page is open. Leaving the website, these cookies automatically delete themselves.

To allow the website to recognise previous users when they return to the site, persistent cookies are used. They recall certain information about users preferences and searches. These cookies will stay on your computer until they expire or until you “manually” delete them.

The main purposes for which cookies are used:

1. For the effective technical operation of the website to allow information in relation to online procedures such as transactions.
2. To drive Spaceist marketing, particularly online advertisements and targeted updates.
3. To enable Spaceist to collect information about the browsing habits and activities of customers, and at times to monitor the success of campaigns, promotions etc.
4. To allow customers to talk with us while browsing the website or to offer customers an invitation to talk with one of our customer service representatives.
