Why is oak such a popular material for furniture?
Oak is an extremely popular material for furniture, not only because of its strength but because it is light and neutral in colour and can also have warm undertones.
Shades of oak
Oak furniture can vary in colour from pale whites through yellow-ish and orange tones right through to reds. Most modern furniture is likely to be of pale or white oak.
What does powder-coated mean?
Powder-coated metals have been ‘painted’ or finished using the powder coating process. This means that the coating is applied as a powder which is cured for a tougher finish than paint.
Tables with powder-coated steel legs
Powder coating is generally applied to metals for a protective and decorative finish. Powder coating means that our metal table legs can be made in a wider range of colours.
