Paris based Architect Diego Delgado-Elias has designed and handcrafted a creative range of silver rings taking direct inspiration from four key tools used by architects. The four key tools; the set square, the water level, the protractor and the architects’ scale can be seen in miniature form. First handcrafted in brushed silver, the rings are then finished using 3D-printing and laser-cutting technology.

The range of silver jewellery has been crafted and designed in keeping with the relationship an architect has between their tools and their hands. Designer Delgado-Elias’ ideas suggest the importance of correlation between functionality and producing something with our own hands. The rings represent how digital tools may be taking over hand drawing tools such as these four essential instruments. Crafted into these small beautiful pieces, the rings present the feeling that the tools in fact hold sway over the hand, and not the other way around.
