we were steered in the direction of spaceist by our architects. the brief was to source robust but modern and colourful furniture as part of the refurbishment of our refectory. the area was divided into several sections each responding to the needs of our staff and student clients. the spaceist furniture was used to produce a mixture of ‘highlights’ within an otherwise very functional space.
we previewed the waldo tables and benches, were provided with a sample of the ‘b-bitz’ units and spaceist suggested several options for tables and chairs. we even asked for a minor adjustment to the bench design which spaceist were happy to arrange.
the whole process was well managed and spaceist kept open the lines of communication throughout.
i was extremely pleased with the outcome and would happily work with spaceist again and heartily recommend them to others.

bishop ramsey school

bishop ramsey school has recently completed a £22 million new build. in the overall design of the building it was decided to make a number of areas, ’feature areas’ spaceist ltd were one of a number of companies, recommended to the school by ghm rock townsend, our architects, who may be able to help the school to achieve our goal.
i met with the directors of spaceist ltd in august 2008. they were able to recommend a number of furniture companies that provided furniture that;
• would meet the rigors of a school environment
• was stylish and different to the traditional furniture found in a school
• at a price that the school could afford
i was impressed by the product knowledge that both directors were able to offer and delighted that they were prepared to share their ‘artistic eye’ as to how the space would look once the furniture was in place rather than simply chase a sale.
the largest area that spaceist ltd designed for the school was our dining area, ‘ the hub’ I was taken to the workshop of the company that designed and made the furniture to see at first hand the quality and robustness of the furniture that they made. this was backed up by a choice of coloured seats and stools, again recommended by spaceist ltd.
in summary, we as a school have been delighted with the way that the areas that spaceist have designed for us have worked out. the staff, students and visitors to the school have all been impressed and we have had many complimentary comments. i believe that this has been to a large extent to the quality of the input that we have had from spaceist ltd. i would have no hesitation in using the company again and fully recommend the company to you.

we chose spaciest from their website, the furniture shown was just what we were looking for the refurbishment of our school café.
the service we received was excellent from our initial enquiry right through to the fitting of the furniture. we are very impressed with the high quality of the tables and benches and standard of workmanship and they are even better than we could have expected.
i would have no hesitation in recommending spaciest to other potential customers and would definitely use them again for another similar project in the school.
